The current firmware adds several new features for users that have been requested by users:
- ELM 329 now supports ISO 15765 and SAE J1939 protocols;
- Also provides 5 custom protocols;
- Support for periodic CAN wakeup messages;
- Has a CAN monitor automatically switched to energy saving mode;
- Also has general purpose inputs and outputs;
- Now can send arbitrary CAN messages at any time;
The latest version greatly increases the speed of code execution compared to the previous chip, and also adds new filters for what we call "CAN input matching frequency.
